I ran focus groups with 16 people on the first version, and what I watched led to five changes in the second. Here they are, before and after.

Everyone sets the preferences
In V1, only the host chose the price tier and distance. In the sessions, people wanted a say before any restaurants appeared. Sometimes they discussed the budget together, and sometimes one person just said, “My budget is 30 QAR, guys.” In V2, everyone sets their own budget and crosses out up to two cuisines they don’t want.
